I have most of my fishing trips recorded on my GPS as
waypoints, and along with this journal I'll have a good
record of where I caught what, and what the weather was like
instead of just those fishing stories. Besides it's not the
size of the fish right? It's knowing where the fishing hole
is, and whether bright lures worked on cloudy days or not.
(Sometimes it seems to matter to the fish.) This is a nice
way to keep track of all that information.
I bought the color version for my grandson and he loves it.
I think it actually encourages him to ask to go fishing
more. He loves "Wally the Walking Fish", makes the journal
fun to write in for him. I helped him fill in the technical
information the first trip. We did not catch anything but we
made all the entries and he said we now know where the fish
aren't!
We also got on the books web site walkingfishbooks.com and
found lots of fishing and outdoor links for kids. Dr. Dennis
